CDS purchases the area for the construction of the new Novoli Student Residence in Florence

CDS Holding, with the support of CDS Living, has obtained permission to build a new
student residence with 400 beds, in the Novoli district of Florence and purchased the area from
Immobiliare Novoli on 07.30.2021.
This is a privileged location, as it is adjacent to the new university campus of Novoli, a
lively urban environment that meets all daily needs, surrounded by a large park
public of 10 hectares, connected by tramway, with a stop within walking distance, thanks to which students
they can reach the historic center in just 10 minutes.
This new student residence, developed on six floors, offers an offer of single studio apartments of
different sizes, in a modern style, fully equipped, as well as studio apartments for the less able. The
student guests will also be able to take advantage of a wide range of amenities: reception, lounge areas,
communal kitchens, gym, cinema, study rooms and games rooms, a furnished internal garden and a swimming pool
outside on the spacious roof garden.
In the panorama of university education in our country, Florence represents a center of excellence,
with a constantly growing national and international student population; to date, they are approximately
62,000 students, of which approximately 23,400 off-site interested in finding suitable accommodation, who can
make their study experience pleasant and comfortable.
At the same time, Florence is facing a dramatic shortage of university residences, with only 4
beds available per 100 students. In the current situation the needs of
all students and accommodation are predominantly accessible only to those with low family income or
scholarship recipients.
There is a need for change and the new Novoli Student Residence, characterized by a
convenient location and many services, it will respond to the strong demand of young people to live, study and
have fun in a modern and international environment.
The start of work is scheduled for the beginning of September 2021, while the opening is scheduled for September 2023.
The total investment is €45 m.
